Instead, the publishing giant has announced EA Advertising \u2014 a platform designed to place brands directly into its portfolio of popular sports titles, such as Madden NFL and EA Sports FC.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">EA said its enormous audience of more than 120 million monthly players was the perfect place for companies to advertise at scale, through &#8220;dynamic, real-time placements, from stadium signage to custom in-game content, designed to enhance, not disrupt, the player experience.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Brands could offer sponsored in-game challenges, EA suggested, with branded cosmetic items as rewards. Alternatively, companies could pay to sponsor on-pitch digital advertising boards, scoreboards, or broadcast overlays \u2014 just as sporting events are plastered with commercial sponsors in real life.<\/p>\n<p><span data-cy=\"slideshow-view-trigger\"><\/p>\n<div data-cy=\"slideshow-preview\" class=\"jsx-1711207865 slideshow-preview\">\n<h3 class=\"title5 jsx-62124236 jsx-1085005187\" data-cy=\"slideshow-preview-title\">EA Sports FC 26 The World&#8217;s Game Update Screenshots<\/h3>\n<div data-cy=\"slideshow-images-container\" class=\"jsx-1711207865 images-container\"><button type=\"button\" data-cy=\"hero-image\" aria-label=\"Open Slideshow\" class=\"jsx-1711207865 hero-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"presentation\" class=\"progressive-image jsx-2896921488 image aspect-ratio aspect-ratio-16-9 jsx-2605834259 jsx-2338608387 hover-opacity\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/imdbnews.ir\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/ea-sports-fc-madden-nfl-publisher-announces-ea-advertising.gif\" data-cy=\"progressive-image\"><span class=\"button-text jsx-729543028 button button--primary jsx-3381835873 jsx-4266531355 row-pagination-button next contained centered round large\" data-cy=\"paginate next\" title=\"Open Slideshow\"><span class=\"ign-icon right-chevron jsx-2750866048 jsx-2919720488\" role=\"presentation\" aria-hidden=\"true\" data-cy=\"right-chevron\"><\/span><\/span><\/button><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Within its games, EA says it can now offer a proprietary ad server and SDK [software development kit] tied to its in-house Frostbite engine, so advertisers can &#8220;improve targeting and gain deeper campaign insights.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">&#8220;Brands can activate across live environments, tailoring placements to meet campaign objectives, and update campaigns with ongoing optimization informed by aggregated engagement insights,&#8221; EA continued.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">To be clear, the EA Advertising push seems focused on the company&#8217;s sports games for now \u2014 though there&#8217;s nothing to say that similar activity couldn&#8217;t eventually bleed elsewhere, such as to its hugely-successful The Sims, which recently featured a crossover with Netflix&#8217;s Bridgerton, or other EA games.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Companies already partnered with EA Advertising include Visa, Lowe&#8217;s, Red Bull, Mountain Dew, Xfinity and Peacock \u2014 all of which have previously featured sponsored content within EA Sports games in the past. <\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">In-game advertising has become a hot topic of late, as gaming companies look to boost revenues at a time that margins are being squeezed harder than ever. Newly-hired Xbox chief strategy office Matthew Ball recently suggested that advertising could be added to Xbox Game Pass subscriptions, in order to offer them at lower price point. <\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">&#8220;Ads should be used to offer more affordable alternatives alongside today&#8217;s ad-free experiences, in the hopes more could play as a result. Similar to how Netflix and Disney+ have ad-tiers with all the same content, but at half the price or so,&#8221; Ball wrote on social media, while cautioning that this did not mean &#8220;in-game ads&#8221; as he believed &#8220;interrupting the gameplay experience would be bad.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\"><em>Tom Phillips is IGN&#8217;s News Editor.
