Since then, updates on the project \u2014 set a decade after the events of that iconic first STC (that&#8217;s Sexually Transmitted Curse, obvs) chiller \u2014 have been few and far between. But after learning last month that Naomi Ackie was in final talks to star in Mitchell&#8217;s movie, today <em>Deadline<\/em> has revealed ten new names joining the call sheet \u2014 including Michael Gandolfini, star of <em>Daredevil: Born Again<\/em> and Alex Garland&#8217;s <em>Warfare<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"content_content__i0P3p\" data-test=\"content\"><\/p>\n<p>Also among the &#8216;They&#8217; that are either following or being followed in <em>They Follow<\/em> (try saying that after a few alcopops) will be <em>*deep breath*<\/em> Jackie Earle Haley (<em>Little Children<\/em>), Justine Lupe (<em>Nobody Wants This<\/em>), Anna Mirodin (<em>Priscilla<\/em>), Jayne Taini (<em>Station 19<\/em>), Tom Pecinka (<em>Stereophonic<\/em>), Melora Walters (<em>Venom<\/em>), Ben Krieger (<em>Song Sung Blue<\/em>), Natalie Shinnick (<em>The Testament Of Ann Lee<\/em>), and Jan Hoag (<em>The Fabelmans<\/em>). <em>Deadline<\/em> has now also confirmed that Naomi Ackie is officially set to star in the film too.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"content_content__i0P3p\" data-test=\"content\"><\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, while precious little else is known about what <em>They Follow<\/em> will entail, <em>Empire<\/em> did excitingly confirm a few more major returns for David Robert Mitchell&#8217;s horror sequel earlier this month. Speaking to us for our The Odyssey issue, Mitchell confirmed that <em>It Follows<\/em>&#8216; cinematographer Mike Gioulakis, editor Julio C. Perez IV, and composer Disasterpeace will all be back to help pour some fresh nightmare fuel on the <em>Follows<\/em> fire, too.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"content_content__i0P3p\" data-test=\"content\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m very proud of the script,\u201d teased a tight-lipped Mitchell when <em>Empire<\/em> spoke to the filmmaker about returning to the <em>Follows<\/em>-verse. \u201cIt is its own unique thing, while still being very much connected to the first film.
