2026 has already proven quite the year to be a Taylor Sheridan fan. We’re scarcely halfway through and already we’ve had two Yellowstone<\/em> spin-offs (neo-Western police procedural Marshals<\/em> and Rip Wheeler and Beth Dutton-centred Dutton Ranch<\/em>), Kurt Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer starrer The Madison<\/em>, and<\/em> a jail survival guide handily entitled How Not To Die In Prison<\/em>. And now we’ve got a fresh look at Lioness<\/em> Season 3, the latest instalment in Sheridan’s underrated, Zoe Salda\u00f1a led Paramount+ series about an elite, women-fronted CIA spec ops unit. And if the new trailer’s anything to go by, Salda\u00f1a’s Joe and her team are in for a hell of a season. Check it out below;<\/p>\n

What did we tell you, eh? It’s all kicking off! Joe’s feeling the strain at home as she reminds her family that she is, per her own words, “a soldier’. The Lionesses find themselves facing threats from all angles as covert enemies threaten to publicly out them, with Morgan Freeman’s U.S. Secretary of State Edwin Mullins and Michael Kelly’s CIA Deputy Director of Operations Byron Westfield warning Joe that America’s national security has been compromised. And Joe’s boss Kaitlyn (a returning Nicole Kidman) is also on hand \u2014 in case all the drone-bombings, threat-level talks, and grave faces hadn’t given the game away already \u2014 to warn her that she needs to get ready. For what exactly, we don’t yet know. But the cut from a screaming Salda\u00f1a to her coldly saying “I’m going to find who did this and kill them all” suggests she’s probably not getting ready for a staff karaoke night…<\/p>\n

The official synopsis for Lioness<\/em> Season 3 \u2014 which also stars the likes of Laysla De Oliveira, Dave Annable, Jill Wagner, LaMonica Garrett, James Jordan \u2014 reads: “In Season Three, hidden networks, foreign operatives, and personal betrayals collide. Joe (Salda\u00f1a) walks the line between duty and home as unseen forces circle her world. Patterns appear where they shouldn\u2019t, names vanish, and paths rearrange. Guided by Kaitlyn (Kidman) and Westfield (Michael Kelly), Joe confronts enemies operating in the shadows, leaving her to reckon with a war that now reaches into every part of her life.”<\/p>\n

With Season 2 of Lioness<\/em> having already brought the tension between the CIA’s fight against terror and the personal cost of that fight for our Lionesses into sharper relief, it looks like Season 3 is doubling down and upping the ante to a whole new level. And to that we say bring on 2 August, bring on Lioness<\/em> Season 3, and for the love of plaid please take a holiday Taylor Sheridan. Sheesh!<\/p>\n
