Featuring characters from DC Comics, this title is a 2v2 tag fighter with collectible and RPG elements where players can level up their fighters, unlock new stats, and boost their abilities by spending in-game currency. Fans have been hoping for a third installation in the franchise since May 2025, when NetherRealm publicly confirmed it would no longer add content to Mortal Kombat 1 in order to focus on the studio’s “next project.”

This project is rumored to be Injustice 3, with MP1st reporting the game is in “active development” at NetherRealm as of April 2026.
