Also at D23, Disney set a November 2029 release for Coco 2.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">As for the Kingdom Hearts Disney+ anime, it&#8217;s developed with creator Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix, and reimagines the video game franchise with a brand-new story &#8220;that will expand on the universe of Kingdom Hearts while celebrating the characters that have captured the hearts of millions of fans around the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">\u201cKingdom Hearts has captivated gamers everywhere with its unique blend of adventure and imagination,\u201d said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Kids &amp; Family. \u201cThere\u2019s something really exciting about taking a world fans have spent years exploring through the games and bringing it to life in a completely new way. The livestream of the \u2018DEEP DIVE into KINGDOM HEARTS panel at D23\u2019 will be available on August 15 at 4.30pm PT \/ 7.30pm ET \/ August 16 at 12.30am UK time. With a panel like that (Yasue is believed to be co-director of Kingdom Hearts 4), you\u2019d like to think we\u2019ll get <em>something <\/em>on the hotly anticipated sequel.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">Kingdom Hearts 4 made a surprise appearance at the June 2026 Nintendo Direct to reveal a first look at gameplay years after the game itself was announced. In a separate post, Square Enix confirmed that Kingdom Hearts 4 will launch simultaneously for PC via Epic Games Store and Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S, as well as Nintendo Switch 2.<\/p>\n<p data-cy=\"paragraph\" class=\"paragraph jsx-2269604527\">&#8220;A new installment in the action role-playing series developed and published by Square Enix, Kingdom Hearts 4 gives fans a look at some of the characters that protagonist Sora will meet in the mysterious city of Quadratum,&#8221; an official description for the game said. &#8220;Sora will once again journey to realms, where new figures cross his path and new powers awaken his next chapter.
