Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 developer Infinity Ward has announced that the playable beta for the next first-person shooter in the long-running franchise has been extended until 10pm PT tonight\/1am ET tomorrow morning. <\/p>\n

“A little more time on the clock,” the studio posted on its X account. We see you grinding out those Beta Rewards and camos, so we\u2019re giving you some extra time. The #MW4 Open Beta is extended until 10 PM PT tonight. 2XP + Double Weapon XP stay active until close. Enjoy!”<\/p>\n

Infinity Ward has already updated the beta, most recently to address TTK criticisms and tweak the weapons, but they also pushed changes out to beta testers last week as well.<\/p>\n

It’s been an unusual beta this year in the sense that a fan-favorite character’s haircut has been the subject of some controversy, and the beta also included a single-player mission for the first time ever.<\/p>\n

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is due out on October 23 (although for those that preorder, you’ll get access to the campaign on October 16) for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, though it won’t be included in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on day one this year.<\/p>\n
