As you’d expect, many responded to the video to predict that Bethesda would eventually step in, although CHRIS FIRST seemed somewhat naive to the situation.

“It’s all free and I make 0 money on it,” he tweeted. “I hope they don’t ask me to take it down. But I should add a quest where you have to serve someone papers, but they keep running away.”

The inevitable now appears to have happened. CHRIS FIRST published an image of what looks like an official cease and desist from Bethesda parent company, ZeniMax Media Inc, which points to trademark infringement for the use of the ‘fallout.nyc’ domain name, as well as its use of copyrighted material. IGN has asked Microsoft for comment.

10 Shows To Watch If You Liked Fallout

<img alt=" Into the Badlands

Given the rise of shows like Warrior and Gangs of London, it’s hard to believe there was a time when television and high-quality fight scenes could never mix. One of the first shows to upend that was Into the Badlands, the AMC series about a bloody war between rival post-apocalyptic factions. Star Daniel Wu – who, for those keeping track at home, would later appear in Season 4 of Fallout producer Jonathan Nolan’s Westworld – is an accomplished martial artist, and Wu leveraged a successful career in Hong Kong into this action-heavy vehicle stateside. And if a show can and should be judged by the quality of its villain, then Into the Badlands earns high marks with Marton Csokas’s Baron Quinn, who has shades of Leonardo DiCaprio’s character from Django Unchained. Adding a Foghorn Leghorn-esque southern drawl to your villain may be a cliche, but when done with panache, it’s still the absolutely correct decision.” decoding=”async” class=”progressive-image jsx-2277167929 image aspect-ratio aspect-ratio-16-9 jsx-2605834259 jsx-2338608387 hover-opacity” loading=”lazy” src=”https://imdbnews.ir/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/person-behind-viral-ai-generated-fallout-new-york-game-hauls-it-offline-says-bethesda-issued-cease-and-desist.gif” data-cy=”progressive-image”>

CHRIS FIRST, meanwhile, remained defiant in his post even as he confirmed the removal of the game. “Hey, @BethesdaStudios,” they said, “how about you make a Fallout game instead so I don’t have to? Why buy a Switch 2 if you can have AI generate a clone of one of Nintendo’s exclusives? Others, though, have pointed out that none of these game-merging mods or clones display any creativity or present any new ideas, rather take existing popular video games and either mash them together or simply replicate what is already playable better elsewhere.

Bethesda is of course working on a number of official Fallout games, including Fallout 5, Fallout 3 and New Vegas remasters, and a spinoff from Fallout: New Vegas developer Obsidian Entertainment.
