This means that Control Resonant has soared past Alan Wake 2, which previously held the record for the studio\u2019s fastest-selling title. The legacy sequel reached one million copies sold two months after its release; Control Resonant has achieved that figure in just three weeks.<\/p>\n
This is welcome news for both Remedy and fans of the game, many of whom urged players against downloading the pirated version of the title when it launched digitally in late September. It seems this wasn\u2019t a crippling setback for the developer, though, given its current financial success \u2014 and physical editions of the game have just now been released, so there\u2019s still more profit to be had.<\/p>\n
Control Resonant was met with critical acclaim among both reviewers and players alike. We at IGN scored it an eight out of 10, with reviewer Michael Higham saying, \u201cEven when combat’s sharp edge eventually dulls, Control Resonant is a great addition to the Remedyverse.
