Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Monthly games lineup for April 2026, confirming earlier leaks that spilled some \u2014 but not all \u2014 of the games.<\/p>\n

Three titles make up the entirety of Sony’s offerings for next month, which will be available to claim from Tuesday, April 7 until Monday, May 4. As previously detailed, this trio will include enjoyable Soulslike Lords of the Fallen, as well as the MMORPG-like Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream.<\/p>\n

Completing the lineup, however, is a nice surprise: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, which offers Lara Croft’s original three adventures with all expansions, secret levels, and a shiny lick of paint. You can also switch back to playing using the games’ original graphics, polygons and all, should you so choose. <\/p>\n

It’s an interesting time for Lara Croft’s original trilogy package to be given away free, following the controversial addition of new cosmetics to the game which fans said looked like AI slop, while developers at Saber Interactive who worked on the remaster said they were nothing to do with the new additions. <\/p>\n

Publisher Aspyr subsequently denied using AI-generated assets, and insisted that the contentious outfits added via the most recent update “were created by our team of artists.” It’s a shame, as IGN’s technical review of the game back in 2024 was otherwise complimentary. “The very small and largely independent team that built Tomb Raider I-III Remastered have clear passion and skills for the legacy of Lara Croft,” we wrote.<\/p>\n

While IGN has not reviewed Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, we gave a positive write-up to Lords of the Fallen (which joins PlayStation Plus ahead of its sequel launching later this year). “Lords of the Fallen is a great Soulslike, and its killer new idea of swapping between two versions of the world to solve puzzles and slay enemies is an excellent twist to set it apart from the pack,” IGN wrote in our Lords of the Fallen review, scoring it an 8\/10. <\/p>\n
