One monster the <em>Toxic Avenger<\/em> and <em>Roofman<\/em> star has never faced however is the xenomorph&#8230; <em>until now<\/em>. Per <em>Deadline<\/em>&#8216;s reporting, four-time Emmy winner Dinklage is the first new cast member boarding Noah Hawley&#8217;s <em>Alien: Earth<\/em> Season 2 at FX ahead of production starting on the sci-fi series&#8217; sophomore outing next month.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"content_content__i0P3p\" data-test=\"content\"><\/p>\n<p>Set to shoot at Pinewood Studios in May, bringing the <em>Alien<\/em> franchise back to its original home, <em>Alien: Earth<\/em> Season 2 \u2014 as creator Hawley himself has teased to Empire \u2014 is about to spell big trouble for Wendy (Sydney Chandler) and co following <em>*that*<\/em> &#8216;Now we rule&#8217; Season 1 finale mic drop. And while we have no confirmation as of yet when it comes to who Dinklage may be playing when the proverbial faeces hits the fan in Season 2, there <em>may<\/em> be a potential clue in Hawley&#8217;s further comments on his future plans for <em>Alien: Earth<\/em>. &#8220;There\u2019s a bit of&nbsp;<em>Game Of Thrones<\/em>&nbsp;to the corporate world that feels interesting to me,&#8221; Hawley told <em>Empire<\/em> recently, teasing a desire to dig into the &#8220;corporate politics&#8221; of the series&#8217; future-Earth setting further with its next outing. Could Dinklage \u2014 a man who knows a Thronesian thing or two \u2014 pop up as a prominent figure from one of the show&#8217;s warring corporations perhaps? He has landed a series regular role, after all. Honestly, we don&#8217;t know at this point&#8230; but we&#8217;re sure we&#8217;ll find out soon enough.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span class=\"content_content__i0P3p\" data-test=\"content\"><\/p>\n<p>What we <em>do<\/em> know about <em>Alien: Earth<\/em> Season 2 is that while Hawley has said Wendy and her Lost Boys&#8217; growing autonomy will continue to be the beating heart of the show, there are still far bigger ideas at play here, too. &#8220;It\u2019s a story about humanity trapped between nature that\u2019s trying to kill us and the technology we\u2019ve created that also seems to be trying to kill us,&#8221; Hawley told&nbsp;us. &#8220;That feels a lot like the world that I live in, and so I feel like there\u2019s a lot there to really grapple with.\u201d Consider us ready to enter the figurative ring and grapple with it all \u2014 T. Ocellus, Xenomorphs, Weyland-Yutani, uneasy human-synth\/alien alliances, <em>all of it<\/em> \u2014 whenever <em>Alien: Earth<\/em> Season 2 arrives on terra firma.
