The next salvo of content for Straight4 Studios’ Project Motor Racing has landed, as the development team continues to augment and improve its poorly received 2025 racing sim.
Dubbed the GT Icons Pack, the latest add-on comes with nine new cars, plus a new track. Three distinct eras of classic GT and sports car racing are represented, with a trio of cars for each.
The new cars are listed below:
GT 60
- 1965 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport
- 1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe
- 1965 Jaguar E-Type Lightweight
Sports Car 67
- 1967 Chapparal 2F
- 1967 Ford Mk.IV
- 1967 Lola T70 Mk 3
GT 70
- 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0
- 1973 Chevrolet Corvette C3
- 1973 Ford Capri RS3100
The pack also includes a circuit Straight4 has named “Rocky Knoll Raceway”, which is essentially an unlicensed riff on the real-life track Road America.
This is the first Project Motor Racing DLC since the hiring of sim racing development veteran Aristotelis Vasilakos, who joined Straight4 Studios in late May as chief creative officer. Vasilakos was previously the head of vehicle handling for Assetto Corsa: Competizione, and also worked on the handling and physics for the original Assetto Corsa.
After a stalled start upon its November 2025 launch, a major update for Project Motor Racing was released back in March which “aimed at resetting PMR’s foundation and bringing the sim much closer to what a serious motorsport title should feel like.”
