Just a few weeks ago, new footage from Avengers: Doomsday brought the house down at Hall H in Comic-Con, shown to the lucky few at San Diego. But great things come to those who wait – and after the footage was also shown at the D23 Expo in Anaheim this weekend, it has now been released online for all to enjoy.
This latest look at the long-awaited fifth Avengers movie still shows off the multiversal scope of the Russo Brothers’ comeback plot – spanning the original Fox X-Men universe, the MCU prime, and the world inhabited by the Fantastic Four – but it also hones in more tightly on Pedro Pascal’s gang, as Reed Richards and Sue Storm reckon with the Victor Von Doom they once knew, and the Doctor Doom who looks to be wreaking all kinds of havoc on our heroes. As an expansion on the first teaser, it’s a confident and action-packed look at an MCU movie with considerable weight on its shoulders.
There isn’t long to go until Doomsday marks the beginning of the end for the MCU’s Multiverse Saga – watch Doom’s plot unfold in cinemas from December 18.
