Avengers: Doomsday’s Disney+ Watchlist Has Arrived – Here’s Everything You Need To Watch

Avengers: Doomsday isn’t far off, and fresh off D23, we’ve now had a closer look at Victor von Doom raising Sentinels and giving the Avengers, X-Men and co. what looks to be a pretty hard time.

Needless to say, the MCU has expanded somewhat in the last few years. Now juggling TV shows, films and a whole host of new characters, it can sometimes be a struggle to know what’s actually a must-watch before a new entry hits cinemas. Thankfully, with Avengers: Doomsday, Disney+ has put together a must-watch list to make sure your Marvel knowledge is up to scratch once Doom arrives.

You can see the full list here:

• X-Men

• X2

• Captain America: The First Avenger

• The Avengers

• Avengers: Infinity War

• Avengers: Endgame

• Loki

• Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

• Spider-Man: No Way Home

• Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

• Captain America: Brave New World

• Deadpool & Wolverine

• Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

• Thunderbolts

• The Fantastic Four: First Steps

Notably, Fox’s first two X-Men films are on the list, so there’s no need to get lost in the incredibly complex X-Men lore if you’re new to the mutant series. You’ll also need to take a trip all the way back to Cap’s first outing, as well as the Avengers films – bar Age of Ultron (but it does look to be one to watch before VisionQuest).

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever also makes the cut, and given that the trailer suggests Shuri, M’Baku and Namor could be a big part of the team up film, it’s probably worth brushing up on what went down last time we visited Wakanda. The list seems to prioritise some of the more recent entries in the series, too, with the only TV show you’ll need to lock into being Loki. You’ll also be diving back into the multiverse nonsense with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And, frankly, it won’t take much to convince us to watch Shang-Chi again.

So there you have it. Those stressing that you’ll have to watch every MCU film and show to make sense of Doomsday can rest easy – you’ve got a full four months to get yourself up to speed. These are all notable picks, and while some will presumably just be about reacquainting ourselves with the many characters populating Doomsday, it’ll be interesting to see which of these films end up having a bigger impact on the latest Avengers film. Given Reed Richards’ dramatic words to Victor in the latest trailer, it’s probably best to revisit The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Until then, get started on your Doomsday watchlist before he man himself arrives 18 December.
